Mark Cheng is Managing Director of Ashoka in East Asia, leading the region's network of the world's most prestigious social entrepreneurs from Hong Kong. An experienced social investor, Mark has helped raise over €250 million for more than 100 social enterprises over the past decade. He is author of the Social Investment Toolkit, a guide for social entrepreneurs on raising finance, and a former Director at Emerge Education, Europe's largest seed fund for education technology start-ups. Mark is a founding member of the UK's first social angel investor network and a frequent writer and speaker on social enterprise and finance, published in journals including the Stanford Social Innovation Review. At Li Cheng Capital, he bridges five generations of family legacy in principled financial stewardship with deep expertise in impact investing, partnering with entrepreneurs who prove that the most enduring enterprises create both strong returns and meaningful social impact.
